 1. Greenworks 2600202 13 Amp 20-inch Electric Snowthrower

  • No more cleaning carb bowls or attempting to diagnose engine or drive issues on my POS Toro.
  • Easily handles 4-6 inches of snow.
  • Because it’s light, I’d argue it gets right down to the pavement instead of heavy gas units, which compress what it doesn’t pick up.
  • It is not self-propelled; it requires some maneuvering in frozen or deep snow.
  • The chute appears to move on its own.
  • My chiropractor will see less of me.

The Greenworks 13-amp snow thrower is the ideal gas-free snow blower for small to medium-sized yards. I have used this product for more than a year. This electric snowblower is surprisingly effective.

It is lightweight, can navigate treacherous snowy terrain, and reasonably manage gravel driveways. But for me, it is more difficult to maneuver in a gravel drive case. I’ve used it on and off at relatively low temperatures (down to 0 °F).

I’m consistently pleased with this tiny workhorse. Even the wooded area was traversed with little harm to the inside plastic. It’s my second winter with it. Although I have a huge plow blade, I don’t use it every day, but it has been dependable, simple to use, and held up well. Must buy.

The Greenworks 16-Inch (10-Amp) Electric Snow Shovel is a simple replacement for gas-powered snow throwers. I bought this product after reading several reviews. I thought it was fantastic since when it arrived, we didn’t get much snow until recently.

Therefore, I had no issue with setting up the snow shovel. It started working right away. The driveway took 30 minutes to finish. I would say that achieving a barebones surface was not my goal, so I wasn’t dissatisfied.

Although it can only shovel snow up to 6 inches deep, I am quite impressed with the power and was able to successfully shovel the 12 inches of snow that I recently received. I have no concerns regarding their quality because they offer a 4-year warranty. This device, in my opinion, is worth the money given the time and prevents back pain.

3. Greenworks 2600502 13 Amp 20-Inch Corded Snow Thrower

  • Easy storage with folding handle
  • The chute rotates 180 degree
  • Powerful for electric
  • No self-propulsion
  • Require purchase of pricey extension cord

The GreenWorks 2600502 12 corded snow thrower has enough power and capacity to take up about 12 inches of snow at a time. It can handle big snow dumps from Mother Nature and those breezy few inches.

Make sure to purchase a suitable extension cord for your new beast. Because it has a 13-amp motor, a cord is required, and if you want 100 feet or more, you may need to purchase the 15-amp extension cord. My cousin used to have a similar type and had good luck, so I purchased one in 2019.

I liked the idea of “no gas or oil to mess with,” The electric cord does not interfere with snow removal all that much. No blower works well in wet snow, but it does a good job of justifying the price. The smaller size of my garage is also an advantage.

This little machine saves my back and does the job well 95% of the time. My driveway is approximately 40′ long and 25′ wide, so I use a 50′ cord. The vehicle is far easier to maintain than a gas model, and the lightweight could be advantageous.

4. Greenworks Pro 80V 20-inch Snow Thrower

  • The vertical adjustment of the exit chute is simpler and maintains position.
  • The headlights make it easier to work in the dark.
  • Lower capacity and power at a lower price point. With a 2.0Ah battery and charger.
  • The unit weighs slightly more than the Toro.
  • A single battery charge may not be sufficient for your requirements.

The 80V line is led by the Greenworks 22-inch cordless snow blower I’d like to give this product a positive review. This machine is pretty nice. I figured why not check out the thrower because I already bought the mower, which is excellent.

I was concerned about the earlier reviews that claimed the throw would stop and fail for no apparent reason and that it resulted from a design problem. But because I was so sick of my gas thrower, I decided to take a chance and return it if the failure persisted.

My last thought on this machine is that it works best in light to medium amounts of snow and is not intended for heavy, wet snowfall. Overall, I’m pleased with the snow blower. I heartily endorse this for the intended use.

5. Greenworks 40V 20-Inch Cordless Brushless Snow Thrower

  • Its design emphasizes better ergonomics to reduce back strain and boost efficiency.
  • Easy to construct and use.
  • It is portable and the charge lasts long enough, though.
  • The only issue was clearing the ends of driveways when the city plows pushed wet berms.

The GreenWorks 2601102 DigiPro G-MAX 40-volt Cordless Snow Thrower has a clearing width of 20 inches. The Greenworks 20-inch snow blower has a 40V brushless motor and can throw 8 inches of snow up to 20 feet away from your path.

Its small footprint makes it easy to store and maneuver around flower beds and shrubs. I always have the mower and enjoy it, so I thought I’d give the snow blower a shot. I’m very pleased! It throws snow well. The shoot is simple to adjust and has lighting.

It is lightweight, and the charge lasts long enough for me. The only drawback was that it would stop if there were more than 6 inches of snow and it was wet. It had warmed up to the high 30s and rained on the snow.

It was also capable of chewing up ice on the concrete. However, at 6 inches, the new powder is not an issue! It isn’t as powerful as a gas one, but if you work with it and don’t overwork it, you’ll get the job done!

About Greenworks

Greenworks was established in 2007 as a marketing arm of its parent company, Global Tools Group, focusing on lithium battery-powered outdoor equipment.

Since then, the company has expanded to a global scale, offering both consumer and professional products. Greenworks sells battery-powered yard tools such as chainsaws, hedge trimmers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, and lawnmowers.

The majority of the products available are either 40-volt or 60-volt. There are also 80v products, such as lawnmowers, that require more power. It’s much easier to start and maintain than a gas chainsaw, and while it won’t compete with a gas model for all-day professional use, it’ll do just fine for small to medium jobs.

Greenworks yard tools are a dependable option for homeowners looking for a battery-powered lawn and yard care solution. The company has a proven track record of providing dependable performance for over a decade.

Although gas-powered tools continue to be the most powerful, there is a place for battery-powered yard tools, particularly when comparing the average homeowner to a professional landscaper.

Greenworks’ primary competitive advantage over other battery-powered yard tool companies is their industry experience. While other companies have tried to strike a balance between gas and electric models, Greenworks has been all-in on non-fuel solutions since its inception.

Are Greenworks Snow Blowers Fairly Priced?

The Greenworks Snow Thrower is a good mid-range electric snow blower at a reasonable price. However, due to the low cost of the components, you may need to replace them sooner than expected. The Greenworks Pro 60v 22-inch brushless snow blower costs $599. However, shipping costs may vary.

You can buy it directly from Greenworks’ website or for a low price on Amazon. Overall, the Greenworks Snow Thrower appears best suited for clearing fresh snow off relatively small, paved driveways. Those with more severe snow-clearing needs may require a more powerful machine.

1. Single Stage Vs Two Stage Operation

Snow throwers are also classified as one-stage or two-stage.

Single stage – A one-stage snow thrower sucks and shoots snow in the same motion. It is most commonly used for residential purposes, have a horizontal auger at the front of the machine that rotates quickly to scoop up snow and throw it 15 to 25 feet through the chute.

Two-stage – The operations are the same in both stages. There is, however, a separate compartment for shooting, which increases the distance. The feature increases the power of the two-stage snow blowers.

2. Engine

It can toss snow to another site, a truck to be carried away using electric power (line power or battery), or a gasoline or diesel engine. In contrast, snow plows push snow to the front or side. The Greenworks 16-inch snow blower has a 40V brushless motor and can throw 8 inches of snow up to 20 feet.

The Greenworks Pro 60V 20-inch Cordless Snow Blower is an electric snow thrower that is powered by a 60V 4.0Ah battery rather than gasoline. Its single-stage blower and brushless engine can cut a 20-inch path through up to 10 inches of snow.

Cordless snow blowers got small intake ports that can clear 6 inches of snow, while others have deep 12-inch intake ports. The clearing width is proportional to the number of stages on the blower.

Single-stage – For most residential snow removal, cordless snow blowers are adequate. Use a single-stage snow blower to remove snow in sections 11 to 22 inches wide.

Two-stage – Cordless snow blowers with 20 to 30 inches are clearing widths are ideal for small commercial locations or large residential properties.

5. Maneuverability

The manufacturer provides a 4-year limited warranty as well as lifetime online support. The technical support and repair center is always available to answer questions. You can reach Greenworks representatives at any time by dialing 1-888-909-6757. The Greenworks Pro 60v 22-inch brushless snowblower is expected to last ten years, but it can last much longer if properly maintained.

Conclusion

Finding the proper GreenWorks snow blower for you and your snow scenario is more important than ranking them. However, the GreenWorks 2600202 13-Amp 20-Inch Corded Snow Thrower With Light Kit is the best machine for the money, the one that manages the most snow effectively and the most convenient for all snow situations.

The 13 amps provide the machine with the power it needs to consume and spew out up to 850 pounds of snow every minute, allowing you to spend more time relaxing by the fireplace and drinking hot cocoa rather than spending your time shoveling snow in subfreezing temperatures.
