Hi and thanks for the detailed and thorough review. I own one and will say your info is accurate, except in one area. You said the Husqvarna YTA24V48 is equipped with a hydrostatic transmission but this is not the case. This tractor is fit with the General Transmission RS-800 CVT unit. It requires no shifting and little maintenance but the tranny does need to be kept clean and cleared of debris to operate properly. Foreign substances in the pulleys will severely degrade forward and rearward momentum. Newer tractors will have the debris cover installed which helps to keep grass and other yard waste out. I bought mine in 2017 and it did not have the debris cover included. I acquired the kit available online and upgraded with the desired results. After 60 hours use my tractor is still running strong and has required no other service except routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, fuel filter replacement and lubrication. I installed the mulching kit at the very start and give high marks on it’s ability to feed the clippings back into the soil effectively. Overall this Husqvarna lawn tractor is a mean machine and cuts & tows my utility trailer with confidence and ease.
